It’s that time again when I begin to reflect on the term that has passed. It is that time when I say “Wow, are we already three quarters of the way through our second year at IFS?” I look back over the term and see how much progress we have made and how much of a community we are building. The terms here, as with many colleges, are busy and full of energy. We have seen so many successes and new initiatives starting. We are moving forward in the open learning spaces and creating more projects that demand creativity, a greater amount of communication and collaboration and critical thinking. We are challenging our students on a daily basis to take responsibility and ownership for their learning so they can work independently and as part of a team.
This term has flown by and already we are preparing for next term. Already we have camps and treks planned. We have the yearbook being developed and work experience for year 10 will commence in week 3.
As we move into a well deserved three week break I wish to thank all staff, students and families of IFS for their commitment and support. Have a safe and happy holiday and be ready to return to an equally busy term 4.
